The Albert Einstein puzzle
Your Thanksgiving Break assignment is to complete the logic puzzle below. Albert Einstein made this puzzle and believed that 98% of the world could not solve it. (Only because they would give up - not because they're not capable!) Read the series of facts and clues and try to deduce the answer to the question: Who owns the fish?
I am NOT interested in the correct answer, but am more interested in your thinking around how you solved this problem. Record any thoughts, drawings, symbols, etc. that you used. Your work is due Monday, December 2nd, 2013.
To receive a “MS”, you must show the work that you completed in order to solve the puzzle. (Hint: List all of the colors of the houses, the nationalities, the drinks, the brands of cigarettes, and the pets before starting to organize the clues!) To receive an “ES” you must answer the following question (in addition to the MS work): Does the order of the clues make a difference? Why or why not? If it does make a difference, rearrange the clues into the order that makes the puzzle easier and justify each step.
